Yay, I got the WordPress.com Golden Ticket today finally!! I had put in my email sometime back & then forgot about it(so I wasn’t waiting). And today when I checked my email, it was there, sitting in my Inbox. Here’s what it said:

And I was simply delighted!! Why? Its same as GMail, invite only & so people are curious & delighted by the fact that they get in. No, but my delight vanished when I came to know that someone has already pirated my name & had a username ‘amit’!! So I went in for something else, so my new WordPress.com blog is http://itsme.wordpress.com/!! 😉
This doesn’t mean that I’ll stop blogging here & move to WordPress.com, no way!! Infact, I’ll think up of something else(a non-tech related & non-personal topic) to blog there!! 😉 But it’ll be sometime before I start on there!! 😉

As if wordpress was not easy enough already, 1.6 is even easier, the UI reminds me of Mambo !
Congrats! Amit, I too got the golden ticket and have just configured my blog, but I don’t know how to change the theme of blog. I see that you have changed your wp blog theme. plz guide me how I can do that.

Sudhir, when you login to your WordPress.com account, in the admin section you’ll see a tab “Presentation” in the menu. From there you can change your theme to one of the available themes!! 🙂
Thanks Amit for your help,however, what I mean to say was there are only 6 themes available to choose from and I see that your wp blog theme is different than those 6. So, I want to know how would I change the theme other that those 6.

What do you mean its not available? which blog are you talking about? This blog(on which you are commenting right now) or the WordPress.com blog?
