The Preview-4 of version-7.5 of the popular browser Opera is available.
Something that I’ve wondered ever since Opera went to a paid browser is why people pay for a browser when browsers with similar or greater feature sets are available for FREE. And some of the most popular ones are Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 6, Netscape 7.1 and Mozilla FireFox 0.8 😀
So why would one want to pay for a browser like Opera? 😕
I don’t see any reason to get it unless you are a web designer & want to test your website in it. 😉
Like I said on my blog, it’s not always cost — it’s about value. Lots of people saw enough value in Opera’s offerings to pay the $29, so it must be good for something :).
Again, like I said, what’s in Opera that you can’t find in other browsers that I mentioned? I’m not talking about the money people are charged, its trivial if the product is worth it, & that’s what I’m asking, is it worth it?
I haven’t used Opera much, maybe a few times in past, so I don’t really know if there’s something in it that’s worth shelling out anything with IE, Netscape & FireFox around.
