  1. tata indicom are real fraudsters.

    there sales representative came to my office saying that today is the last day of our scheme wherein we are giving are WLL landline phone handsets for 500 rs. only and then you have to pay your monthly bills only.
    but with no calls made i had to pay the fixed monthly rent which was not told about. so asked the person to take away the handset and cancel my connection. the bugger has never turned up but the company is sending me notices through their lawyers saying they are going to file are criminal case against them for deliberately not paying their bill and IPC 420 for cheating.
    now who is cheating on us.
    if they can send a salesperson to sale there bullshit why cant they send the same person to take their shit back and even when we are ready to pay at our doorsteps they want us to come at there doorsteps as if we have no other work to do. and on top of it they are serving us notices. its disgusting. they employ people who give us fasle information , those employees then leave there jobs and we are followed up by there bill recovery hooligans and lawyers. either this is a planned way of robbing us or taking advantage of our ignorance and negligence of dealing with big companies like the tata and reliance as well.

There is some server error in my vsnl internet connection.I am contacting the customer service since Sunday,27 Aug.I might have spoken not less than 20 times.Every time different person takes the call and tells me that my problem will be rectified within 24 hours.Now many 24 h have been elapsed. My problem is not solved.It is frustrating to contact the customer care of Tata indicom.

  3. Its 2-months i got the connection i was not able to connect series of complaints/calls to customer serviece all in vein …

    From day one we got the connection we are facing the same problem every time we have to call up to customer care wait for assitance for about 15-20 min then if luck is with us we will get connected , explain the problem again we get same response……will be addressed soon!!!! i don’t know if customer service is claiming that it will solve the problem from customer within 24hours then why it makes customer to wait for 2- months

When i started my new office last year, ithought will take broadband and internet from the same roof and thought tata indicom as best option since TI offers broadband and TTML offers land line. for broad band they collected the cheque from me offering connection with in a week and didn’t get any reply from them for 2 weeks. When i contacted them again they told me that broadband is not fesible in my building and will return my cheque back.So the just wasted my 2 weeks and i have to use a local internet caffe to check my mails .( After reading all your reviews i thank god now because if internet was fesible in my building , i will also be one among those un satisfied tat indicom users ) . I got the wireline phone connection after 2 weeks follow up ( calling their customer care is a head ache since we will always end up in que some ties lasting more than 5 minuts and also it is useless since those bastards don’t even know what they are promising … It goes like this .. in another 24 hours …in another 9 hours and so on ) . I used the land line for 9 months and it was a night mare ( I don’t want to tell everything in detail because then there will not be any end , Their sales person promised me STD connection with out any extra security deposit … but later i found that he was lying … He promised me ISD connection instantly after paying Rs 2000 … he was again lying … they have a time consuming verification process , for me it took 1 month . Finally i taken the wise decision to get rid of Tata indicom land line while disconnecting also i have to face problems since they were supposed to disconnect the line on 3rd of that month ( My bill cycle is 7th to 6th of next month ) , they didn’t do after follow up again the same 24 hr … 9hr promises ….. Now i am a happy man with out any tata indicom burdan on me ..
    My advice to all these readers is … Never ever take any tata indicom service. It SUCKS

  5. I purchased a TataIndicom BB connection few months ago – Since I had many other BB connections active, I didnt bother whether it was/is working or not. Now I switched my business mail to TataIndicom BusinessMail. I have issue sending mail to some of my cleints. I have raised a complaint since 2 weeks – nothing happened so far – other than for some tech support guys calling me with to find out the reason – which me and my clients admins stated clearly. They are not technically competent enought to understand that their BusinessMail SMTP is not propoerly setup to give fqd during HELO.!!

    My advice is to never take a serve from TataIndicom!!! I’m cancelling my 2 BB connections, 2 domain hosting with businessmail service and 2 phone connections.

  6. iam unfortunate postpaid customer of this broadband service and walky service and also a prepaid customer of mobile service at chandigarh. The staff never cares to lift phone nor properly informs customer either by e-mail about billing details nor by phone.It has become duty/burden on my part to call them to find out how much i have to pay.The braodband customer care phone number TATA has provided is a big joke,2236108.IVRS says approximate time to attend call is 10 minutes irrespective whether it is day time or night time.TATA people always seems too busy even to reach their own customer.A voice comes callously saying you can try after some time,and if we believe it will be the same,saying time to attend your call is 10 minutes.Even if we hang on for more than 10 minutes the same automatic response blurting the greatness of your service comes,and never your ‘GOD customer care executive’ attends the call.The other numbers, the office has given are 5535923-6,22361095074313 and they never work.Phone keeps on ringing but no one picks up. Also whenever internet is not functioning,the same tactic TATA people employ-IVRS saying wait for 10 minutes,stopped me calling altogether because i prefer not to waste my phone money for simply hanging around for the response for 10-15 minutes.Rather i prefer to check on computer when the connection is restored.This month i have neither received Email nor phone call on my contact numbers about the bill.So ive called up ‘GODS sitting at TATA customer care’ and could not found response.They are so worst service providers that dont even care to note the number of customer calling and call him back when he hangs up the phone in exasperation.
    I regret why i have taken this connection.Walky is a money swindler.Prepaid mobile connection activation also has inflicted lot of problems on me and the cutomer care at this service is also a big joke,person never attends even after half an hour at anytime of the day establishing a world record in its personnel management.I think TATA brand is a cheat.

    My broadband connection was installed on or about 1-April-2004 (at that time by Dishnet DSL Ltd. Later on TATA Broadband took over this service. )
    My broadband line has not been working properly since 16-May-2006. For a long time, and for several periods thereafter, it used to be dead, then it started working very intermittantly (1 or 2 minutes or few minutes at a time, after which the connnection got disconnected)
    Following Table summerises the list of complaints I lodged with your technical department and the e-mail corrspondence I did with your customer care department.. I also sent a registerd letter, and sent my person to meet your billing and technical departments at your Golibar Maidan (earlier office) and your current office
    Following is list of my complaints and status of the connection at each time. The line has not worked consistantly at all since 16 May 2006. So how come your billing department is asking me to pay Rs. 2704.46 as ” outstanding dues ” for the period thereafter ?
    In fact I learned reliably (unofficially) from your service department that unless they REPLACE the wire coming to my house, I will not be able to get a continuous connection because my line was very old and had 4 joints, and it was breaking frequently. Also they informed me that this replacement cannot be done now because there was a plan to replace all cables by fibre-optic cables in next 3-4 months.
    The question – “WHY should I get substandard and unreliable service and pay for it ? (till your Ivory-Tower plans materialize in your own sweet time ?) ”
    I have decided to DISCONTINUE TATA Broadband service till it improves and tries to become a FIRST CLASS SERVICE from A THIRD CLASS SERVICE – Which it is just now.
    I request you to please immediately refund my Initial Deposit of Rs. 6000/- paid to you, waive off all charges charged on my account from 16-05-2006, and remove your DEAD connection from my house forthwith.
    If this is not done, I am seriously considering getting Legal advice from my legal advisor to take steps against this injustice being done to a consumer of your service.
    Hope that you will see reason and do as requested.

    is truely amazing, but I am at the end of my patience now. I must say that when ETH was managing the services, the customer support provided by them was very prompt, and when in one instance my line was cut, they fixed it up in 24 hours. After Tata Indicom took over ETH, the customer support service has really really deteriorated to such an extent, that I am reminded of the famous old song –

    ” Naam Bade aur Darshan Khote ……”

    India is boasting to be an IT giant, but if the basic infrastructure like the reliability of a broadband connection is so poor then I wonder what we should we be proud of ?

    Moreover, till now I had great respect for any company with TATA brand name. But no more …… Even the BSNL which is a Government agency to the core fixes up their telephone lines withing 2 days ! Compare this to the 27 days (till today) which it has taken ( and God knows how many more days it will take now) to fix up the line of a Private Company like TATA

    I am in need to send lot of files to my contacts in USA and my IP phone is also down since last 27 days. When I tell this as excuse, services in India become a laughing stock !

    MAY THE GOD GIVE YOUR COMPANY THE ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TO PROVIDE THE SAME TO YOUR CUSTOMERS !

    it is of no value,I had taken a broad band connection
    and in the past one month i got only appros
    five days connectivity that too spending more than 300 rupess on tele phone call. now i am sitting in cyber cafe .So please never use a tata product that to in telecom now after enquiry total number of customers are
    disatisfied and crying they lost the money by this cheater company.

    they have poor response to customer call and enjoy irrtating customer.

  9. “Tata indicom do more live more” big deal!! they are undoubdtably big time cheats. I bought there connection H2M – 349 monthly rental plan with free internet from 10:00 P.M to 06:00 A.M. From the first month of there billing cycle there slogan radiates a new meaning to me cheat more loot more. They have been charging me for internet uses even when the whole town has power cuts and I don’t have a power backup. Besides this when its pretty clear that the internet uses are free from 10:00 P.M to 06:00 A.M why would I be using internet other than this psecified time. The indicom billing dept. guys is a bunch of jerks they have billed me for using internet upto 20 hrs. a day and that too when I am away for work with no one else to use this crap service at home. I’d say people better to get rid of old tata indicom connections as well advise atleast friends not to fall in hand of these touts.

  10. I too have my experience which I would like to bring to the attention of great patriot and nationalist Tata about functioning of their Telephone section.

    I had purchased a Taata line in 2005 and the dealer has issued a Invoice about the the money he collected to provice WLL service in chennai(55904346)prepaid. In the bill it has been mentioned that Reundable deposit is being collected to the tune of Rs.1000/- on surrendering the instrument without damage.

    I surrendered the WLL line on 14th Auigust 2006. and requested Tata Telepohne to refundy caution deposit of Rs.1000/- immediately.

    I am running pillar to pot in Chennai Tata indicom office about the refund and no progess. Each time each customer relation executive different picture and now I confirmed that I will not get back the money.

    Is this the way people like Tata has grown in business.

  11. Yes, Tata Indicom is a total fraud as far as Customer Service is concerned.

    I had Tata Indicom mobiles, which i wanted to disconnect, but still after 50 days i am unable to check out why the phones are still active and Customer Care says they cant do anything, check with Tata Indicom Hub and Tata Indicom Hub says they have disconnected.

    I am paying rent at the luxury of being a customer of great service provider TATA.

    I do not know how to get it disconnected and is fed up by logging complaints with customer care.

    Customer Care always log and tries to call within 48 hours, the 48 hours are endless in their dictionaries.

    I dont know where to land up.

  12. I concur, They have been showing a monthly charge outstanding though the amount has been paid in full through a cheque. i proved it showing my bank statement. Still they have not cleared the dispute.

  13. Atlast, I disconnected Tata Indicom. I had to run from hub to hub to do the disconnection process. Finally I mailed nodal officer, who helped me in the process. So if you have any complaints, go once or twice to hub. If their response is bad, please contact nodal officers immediately

    Tata Indicom Really sucks. Their products are very horrible. Customer care service is very pathetic. I have bought a phone and now the problem is I can not recharge it. Today Only, I bought a recharge card of Rs. 350 but everytime it says is problem happened and customer care is not working. I do not know what to do now with this phone? There is no access to complain them and this is not the first time, I am facing this proble. every one month or another u face one or another problem. Please do not go through any cheap advertisement of Tata and do not buy any products from it. U regret in life. They are the cheaters and try to make u fool with their pathetic service.
    I bought this phone about 6 months ago and I never get to call on time. More than 24 hours, Customer care is not working and I even can not ask and find out whta is the problem with it?

  15. I have already made the mistake of buying the connection from TATA(TUTU) INDICOM and then started facing problems, after going through the web from a cybercafe besides buying an internet connection from you know who (TUTU…) I have come accross many pages like this one.

    My suggestion to the future victims is that dont
    even bother to fight back or
    place complaints or
    yell at them over the phone or
    insult them about their services or
    expose them to pages like this on the web, instead

    find another provider, cause these guys are thick skinned and nothing will move them

  16. hi iam rooopa it just happened to see this website . i was really sjpcled to see the complaints . but at the same time i felt iam not only the sufferer from tata indicom. customer support at Tata teleservices is very bad that too in bangalore. they call us and force us to get a connection .and then they call us for paying the bill . some times it delays obiviously because we have 2 land line connection of tataindcom and we plan to pay both the bill at the same time. but the people from collection department call us and torture like any thing.we have informed them that if you want you can disconnct the things we will pay on 19th only . but again those people call us speak very lightly as if we have taken loan from them.is there any genuine email ids whom i can contact and complain.

  17. TATA-VSNL broadband management cheating people and swindling money. I have paid 2000 rs in advance and for nearly 4 months had no internet. Numerous complaints to TRAI, Minister for IT and TATA officials and various consumer protection groups have not acted upon it. TATA have not returned my installation and deposit and in turn spent a great deal on Mobile bills taking call ticket numbers. Finally when they could give connection in July last, they have been billing for time i had no internet connectivity. Disconnected and when told of the situation was informed it was a software mistake and gave the connection again after 15 days, finally in december without explanation of bill and with downtime of 900 Rs for 4 months 15 days of no connectivity and fat mobile bill where as simple math says it is 4 * 425 rs per month. How about my financial losses and career loss on account of not having internet connectivity? Received a stupid mail of no connection warranty from Preeti Ubale of TATA access manager. Is somebody listenning?

My story begane a long period ago (aproximately 1 yr or more)….when i was a begginer..i saw ads of that company and forced my parents to subscribe in a 3month unlimited data transfer scheme.We gave a cheque to their repesentative,who went after saying that the connection will be done in between 3 to 4 days as it takes minimum three days to incash the cheque(acoording to him)..after fourth i called their representative to know the reason of delay.He said that the company have been overloaded with subscription and it will take 15days more to resolve it.I had no option rather than to waite for 15 days more and i did.After 12 days a call came from the company saying that they are sending their representative to my house to fit the connection and,I thought that now i would have it but i was totally wrong i forgot that I was in India where there is no place for truth , i waited for whole day but no one came .I got very frustrated and called tata indicom customer service to take my cheque back,they told me to give an application for it to their representive,I wrote the application thinking in my mind that GAME WAS OVER but i was again wrong, because THE GAME WAS JUST BEGUN .When i gave that application to their representative he said”Sir,im sorry for the inconvenience caused to you but now the company have resolved all its issues and is in position to provide its services, if only you could waite for tommorrow we will garuntee you that you will have a connection surely”,,i believed that bloody basturd and that was my biggest mistake in life,his tommorrow didnt came before fifth day,he came my home with cables in hand to install it, for two seconds i gazed at his face angrely, he also knew the reason but said nothing..he installed the cables and said “my companion will come in ten minutes with router and will program it for connection,i listened him like a dummy as now i was realising that i have been fooled to that extent that it cannot get worse but as usuall i was wrong again i was fooled, his bloody companion didnt came and he also was not receiving the phone call, i guessed that god has sent him to hell for those too many lies.Fourth day evening he himself came with a router and his bloody companion was no where to be seen,,at last he installed it and i was able to surf net. THE ONLY THING THAT I CAN SAY IS .. GOD SENT ME ANYWHERE IN THE UNIVERSE AFTER MY DEATH BUT THE ONLY REQUEST IS TO PLACE TATAINDICOM AND THEIR REPRESENTATIVE AWAY FROM ME.

    i am the most suffering person, who gone for the above dirty thing.
    for the last one month, i am trying to get the internet connection, after paying the amount. they have 100s of reasons for not giving the connection. i feel very helpless. i dont want to use any bad words, because all the words in the dictionary is already being used.
    i am having only one request to the tata indicom people, that stop harassing your valuable customer

  20. I am also victim of false promises from TATA Indicom executive.Out of Rs.2358 deposit I am able to use Rs.110 and system not allowing to access any site.They are happy .No prpoer response from call center executives.Why not we ,the sufferers form a platform and approach to consumer forum.

    i guess my suffering is the oldest. i have been sent a legal notice for not using their services almost 4 years back. amazing isnt it>>>

    i think finally Mr tata is loosing control over his companies and long tradition set by his forefathers is going to the soil.

  22. Took a tata true paid mobile for 1399/-. The set started giving problems from day 1.

    Gave it at the service center for repair. They took 20 days.

    I lost the SIM during the twenty days. Nobody in the company knows where shall I get replacement. That has already taken 15 days.

    The company, the customer care have so far not blocked my SIM. Somebody else is using it.

    Want to give them a lesson. Other subscribers who are also affected by poor service may contact

  23. I am really surprised that they are automatically changing the plan and generating the bills. From last 2 months, I am reminding them to correct my plan and bill so that I can pay it. I am not using their service from last 2 months still they are not ready to correct it and accumulating the bill. Can someone let me know what we should do in this situation?

    I had ordered for dial up connection by Tata Indicom 5 days ago and the phone came to my place from my bossess place on time. All was well and I was happy but then after a day It seems that the euphoria has died dowm for From the past one hour I have been trying to find out my tariff plan but everytime I call I am told that the technicians are busy and that my call is very important.

    It makes me wonder on what is gonna happen now….Whether they have only one support tech for Internet?After reading all of your posts I realized that I too am stuck with a service that I am going to regret. Today I call for general, Tomorrow if there is a big problem then I do not have any hopes.

    Anyway wish me luck. I took Tata Indicom for that was all that was available in my area

I have gone thru the entire Blog, & i sincerely feel that I am also one amongst you who have got cheated by TataBroadband services.I took a 2 GB unlimited connection which never gives a speed more than 40-50KBPS( they had assure of min 1GB), on top of that we have taken a static IP address, now their connection been inconsistent we keep loosing packets so much so that The ststic IP address is not even traceable for more than 5 mins & happens intermittently.

    Complaints have not yield any result & i have already paid up for 6 months in advance.

    I think we shuld all somehow come togather & file a Case in the consumers forum atleast
